Cardiology Masterclass

Cardiology Masterclass is a specialized educational program to provide new and practical knowledge in the field of cardiology. This online course offers comprehensive and practical learning experiences that help you instill confidence and improve diagnostic accuracy. It comprises of clinical grand rounds, special sessions and quiz sessions that are designed to enable prospective cardiologists to enhance presentation skills and acquire strong foundations in all aspects of cardiology.

Dr Arun P Jose

Dr. Arun Jose is Deputy Director of the Centre for Digital Health, Public Health Foundation of India. Dr Jose is a physician and public health specialist by training. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management of Reproductive and Child Health Programmes from the Indian Institute of Public Health and UNICEF, and is currently pursuing his PhD in Translational Research and Implementation Sciences at Maastricht University, Netherlands.

Dr. Jose was awarded the NIH funded Global Public Health Leader fellowship in leadership and implementation sciences at the Rollin’s School of Public Health, Emory University in the year 2016. He is a fellow of the International Society for Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention, and fellow of the World Heart Federation’s Emerging Leaders program. He currently leads an innovative assisted telemedicine initiative – Digisahayam – being implemented in various parts of India. He also leads capacity building programs in hypertension, cardiovascular disease and stroke for physicians in India. He was the Deputy Chair of the South & West Asia, Middle East Regional Advisory Group of the International Society of Hypertension from 2018-20 and has been country leader for the society’s May Measurement Month initiative that has screened over 4.7 million for raised blood pressure across the world and approximately 900,000 individuals in India.

Dr Priyanka Gupta

Lead – Capacity Building
 

Dr. Priyanka Gupta is the Lead of Capacity Building at the Bridge Centre for Digital Health, Centre for Chronic Disease Control, New Delhi. After gaining expertise on implementing education initiatives on NCDs for healthcare professionals over a decade at the Public Health Foundation of India, she is handling various digital capacity-building programmes at the Bridge Centre for Digital Health. 

Her passionate interest in health promotion motivated her to work towards promoting health equity and health education for disadvantaged populations. She stands out for her diverse set of skills in project management (from conception to completion) and digital innovations for strengthening the health workforce and raising health awareness in the community. Dr. Gupta holds a degree in physiotherapy with a PGD in public health service management. Following a clinical experience of two years, she managed different capacity-building projects at PHFI for medical professionals and other healthcare workers to enhance their skills and competencies to manage chronic illnesses such as COPD, asthma, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. In order to establish and implement these initiatives, she also collaborated closely with several national and international academic institutions, state governments, and renowned worldwide specialists. 
 
She had also extensively coordinated activities for the Indian campaign ‘May Measurement Month,” a part of the global blood pressure awareness programmes, for three consecutive years (2017–2019). She has also been able to innovate during the pandemic while working at PHFI’s Centre for Digital Health by adopting digital solutions for the unceasing training of doctors. In addition to her current portfolio of conceptualising and implementing education initiatives, Dr. Gupta continuously aspires to explore further potential in digital education for boosting the health system.

Ms Sakshi Arora

Ms. Arora is a Public Health Professional who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health Services Management from IIPH-Bhubaneswar. Her academic journey also includes certifications in Financial Accounting from F-Tech and Professional Accounting from Zee Interactive Learning.

Ms. Arora began her career in 2008 as an Account Assistant with Ambe Auto (a Bajaj Dealer) and later with Activent Engineering Pvt Ltd, a system house of Flaktwoods India Ltd. In 2015, she transitioned into public health, joining the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) as a Program Assistant. During her tenure at PHFI, she was involved in several capacity-building programmes, including those focused on thyroid disorders and cardiovascular disease & stroke. She also contributed to government-adopted training initiatives and played a key role as part of the team responsible for implementing short courses on heart failure and ECG.

Currently, Ms. Arora is a Senior Program Assistant at the BRIDGE Centre-Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC), where she contributes to the Cardiology & Endocrinology Masterclass Program. Her dedication to capacity building, knowledge dissemination, and her commitment to improving public health systems define her professional journey.

Ms Shruti C Nair

Program Officer

Ms. Nair is a Public Health Professional with PG Diploma in Public Health Services Management from IIPH-Bhubaneswar and Master’s degree in HR & Marketing from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Ms. Nair started her professional journey with Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) in 2016 as Program Assistant.
During her time with the company she was associated with several capacity building initiatives targeted towards physicians to better equip them in dealing with health conditions like COPD & Asthma, Diabetes, Hypertension, CVD and Stroke. She was also part of the team implementing short courses on ECG & Heart Failure & also assisted in conducting training programs for medical officers working for health department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. As a member of the training division, she has participated in many national and international conferences as well as presented a poster at IDS conference in 2018. She is a passionate & dedicated professional with more than six years of experience in the field of public health. Ms Nair is skilled in Advocacy, Operations, Documentation, Management, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation, as well as Training & Capacity Building in public health. She is well versed with both internal and external stakeholder communication & coordination at state level, national level (government and private sector) as well as international level. Coupled with ‘always positive’ attitude and strong analytical skills, she has a lot of creativity and innovation to offer for various program and management matters.

Ms Nair holds strong interpersonal skills, is a quick learner with creative thinking & is a team player. Outside of work, she enjoys playing chess, memory games & going on short trips for fun & mental well-being. She is currently holding the position of Program Officer in Cardiology & Endocrinology Masterclass program at BRIDGE Centre-Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC).

Mr Himanshu

Senior Technical Assistant

Mr. Himanshu is a Pharmacist and completed his Diploma in Pharmacy from Delhi Board of Technical Education. He also completed his B.Sc. in Applied Sciences from IGNOU. He did his internship at Lok Nayak Hospital, Delhi. He started his professional journey with Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) in 2015 as a Consultant in Certificate course in Management of Hypertension (CCMH). 
 
During his time with the company he also worked as a Technical Assistant in several capacity building program targeted towards physicians like COPD & Asthma(CCCA), Evidence Based Diabetes Management (CCEBDM), Hypertension(CCMH) Management of Thyroid Disorder ( CCMTD) & Gestational Diabetes ( CCGDM) program under Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (Swasth Uttar Purv, SUP), Evidence Based Diabetes Management (CCEBDM), Hypertension (CCMH) program under NHM Odisha in PHFI. He has critical thinking abilities, a knack to respond promptly and calmly in situations of urgency, and over 6 years of expertise in public health. Mr Himanshu performs a broad range of basic administrative support duties such as organizing company travel arrangements, Data entry & making updates to maintain records, process invoices, manage vendor payments, manage calendars and appointment scheduling, preparation, processing, and archiving of various types of documentation and paperwork, including applications, and various types of agreements and contracts. He acts as a liaison relaying information and documents between numerous departments and staff members. He also handles routine correspondence and respond to general inquiries.
 
He is proficient with common office software programs such as Excel. He is currently working as Senior Technical Assistant in Cardiology & Endocrinology Masterclass program, Cardiology Masterclass: ECG Short Courses and Heart Failure program, E-CCMH program in collaboration with AHA, Digisahayam program at Bridge Centre- Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC).

Mr Vishnu Nair

Web and multimedia design expert

Web and graphic design specialist with more than six years of experience overseeing the entire design process, from conception to delivery. His areas of interest are infographics, illustrations, cutting-edge design, graphic video production, and UI/UX design—developing prototypes and wireframes. His skill sets include graphic design, UI/UX, product design, video editing, typography, branding, and technology.

In 2016, he received his Bachelor of Computer Applications degree from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. From Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University in Pune, he earned his Master of Business Administration with a specialisation in Information Technology in 2019. In addition to this, he enjoys YouTube and gadget reviews. He has also received training from Aptech Computer Education and NIIT in web design and app development. He currently works as a web and multimedia design expert for the Bridge Centre for Digital Health Division of the Centre for Chronic Disease Control. He handles the design and production of all the advocacy materials.

Mr Himanshu Sharma

Senior Graphic Designer

Mr. Sharma is a senior graphic designer with over 4 years of experience, during which he has worked on a wide range of projects encompassing branding, print design, and digital media. He has honed his skills in creating attention-grabbing graphics, visuals, and illustrations that effectively convey messages and captivate audiences. His expertise includes illustrations, UI/UX design, video editing and production, infographic design, and some photography. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication. Mr. Sharma previously served as a senior web and graphics designer at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and is presently employed at the Bridge Centre for Digital Health at Centra for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC).

Mr Vinay Pandey

Graphic Designer

Mr. Pandey is a creative and detail oriented Graphic Designer with over 4 years of experience in various mediums such as Vector Art, Typography and Lomography. He has completed his 3 years Diploma in Animation and VFX from MAAC, New Delhi and also has a 2 year Diploma in Web Development from Red Pixels, New Delhi. Mr. Pandey is pursuing his graduation from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) & is currently associated with Centre for Digital Health, Public Health Foundation of India as a Creative Graphic Designer.

Mr. Pandey creates visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers. He develops the overall layout and production design for applications such as advertisements, brochures, magazines, and reports.He is currently employed by the BRIDGE Centre-Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC) as a Creative Graphic Designer in the Endocrinology Masterclass programme.

Ms Monika Sharma

Program IT Officer

Monika Sharma is an experienced software developer and has success as a front-end developer in designing and implementing functional and aesthetically pleasing solutions that perfectly meet the needs of the user-end developer, she has in-depth knowledge of front-end languages, excellent visualization skills, and good project work experience. In-depth knowledge of JavaScript language, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages and has a great understanding of HTTP and web applications lifecycle specifically single page applications. She has done B-Tech in Computer Science from Jodhpur Institute of Engineering & Technology.
 
As a Program IT Officer/Software Developer her goals includes development, maintenance of websites, monitoring and improving website performance. In addition to her primary job functions, she is also assisting the program operations and administrative tasks. In the past, she has worked on several prestigious projects like FoSCoS (Food Safety Compliance System), Export Inspection Council and Infolnet – FSSAI Lab Management System. Assisted the development team during her experience with Logicsoft Pvt. Ltd. She has a strong passion for software development and takes pride in her coding. She also has great analytical skills and the ability to handle complex, modular software development in a collaborative team-based environment. She is adaptable, and a challenge seeker, having strong communication and interpersonal skills.
