Cardiology Masterclass

Cardiology Masterclass is a specialized educational program to provide new and practical knowledge in the field of cardiology. This online course offers comprehensive and practical learning experiences that help you instill confidence and improve diagnostic accuracy. It comprises of clinical grand rounds, special sessions and quiz sessions that are designed to enable prospective cardiologists to enhance presentation skills and acquire strong foundations in all aspects of cardiology.

The Cardiology Masterclass Short Course on ECG is a national level program which aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills they need to correctly interpret ECGs

Course Objectives

To enhance the knowledge, skills and core competencies of physicians in prevention and management of cardiovascular Conditions

To develop/update a standard teaching protocol and modules for evidence-based learning on ECG

To update the physicians with the latest advancements in the medical field

Course Delivery

The course delivery plan for the Cardiology Masterclass program involves conducting Module 1 and Module 2 in-person at 8 cities across the country, while Module 3 will be conducted online through a dedicated online learning platform. The sessions will be led by a combination of local and guest faculty members to provide comprehensive and diverse perspectives. The program will incorporate interactive elements such as case-based discussions, Q&A sessions, quizzes, and polls to promote participant engagement. Additionally, participants will have access to case studies and assignments to further enhance their learning experience.

Course Eligibility

MBBS with minimum 3 years of clinical experience
or
MD (Medicine/Internal Medicine/Family Medicine)

Course Outline

Module 1 (On-site session): Basics of ECG, Reading a Normal ECG and ECG in Myocardial Infarction

Part 1: Reading an ECG

Part 2: ECG in Acute Myocardial Infarction

Module 2 (On-site session): ECG in Arrhythmias

Part 1: Tachycardia

Part 2: Bradycardia

Module 3 (Live webinar session): ECG in Miscellaneous Conditions

Part 1: Primary Cardiac Channelopathies

Part 2: Electrolyte Abnormalities

Note: Participants will be given printed study materials exclusively for modules 1 and 2, which will be held on the same day.

Evaluation Criteria

Participating in all three module sessions

Submitting pre & post-tests for all three modules

The participant who successfully completes the aforementioned criteria will be awarded a certificate of participation.

Optional Examination

A “Certificate of Completion” will be given to those who pay the examination fee of INR 2000/- and pass the exit examination.
